This Privacy Policy explains how Micro E-Racer handles information when it is played: in a web browser at micro.grails.de, in the iPhone and iPad app, and in the Apple Watch app.
Overview
The game is designed to minimize data use. It does not require account creation, does not maintain user profiles, and does not collect or store personal data for analytics, marketing, or account management.
Information Handling
The game does not ask for email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials, and it does not create user accounts.
The only thing a player types in is the name they race under. It can be any nickname of up to 16 characters and does not need to be a real name.
The game does not use cookies, analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavior tracking technologies.
The game loads nothing from third parties: its font, sounds, and voices come from the game's own server or app, and everything else is generated on the device.
On Your Device
So that they are there next time, the game remembers the name you race under, your picked car and track, the sound setting, and your touch control settings on your device: in the browser's local storage, or in the app's settings.
These stay on the device. Clearing the site's data in the browser, or deleting the app, removes them.
Online Races
Pressing Play joins a race on the game server at micro.grails.de, where players and computer-driven cars race together without an account.
To make the race work, the game sends the server the name you race under, your picked car and track, and while you race your car's position and speed and the items you use. The server shares your name, car, and race events with the other players in the same race.
This data is used only while you are in the race.
It is not stored after you leave the race, and the server does not log it.
No persistent player profile, friend list, chat, match history, or high-score list is created.
Like any web server, the game server receives your device's IP address as part of the connection. It is used only to carry the connection and is not logged or stored.
Offline Races and Apple Watch
When the server cannot be reached, the race runs entirely on the device and nothing is sent.
The Apple Watch app always races offline and sends nothing.
Third-Party Services
The game does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
The game server and the connection to it are used only to pass the data needed for live races, not to create persistent user records.
Children’s Privacy
Because the game does not collect or store personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
